Partner description:

The UFZ was founded in 1991 as the first centre in the Helmholtz Association to be dedicated exclusively to environmental research in a wide variety of fields. It combines natural and social sciences and has become a globally recognised centre of excellence. Our research aims to promote the sustainable use of natural resources in favour of a healthy environment and human well-being.

Partner role:

A key objective of SOILPROM is to support local stakeholders in sustainable land management strategies and to evaluate policies for healthy soils across Europe. The UFZ will provide the governance analysis and review the policy framework at EU and selected national state levels. Recommendations on the choice, policy mix, coordination and design of legal instruments will be given.
