On June 18th, 2025, Mahrooz Rezaei and Coen Ritsema from Wageningen University represented SOILPROM during the interactive session “Soil data and modelling of soil health” at AquaConSoil 2025. This core session brought together 6 ongoing EU Mission Soil projects – ARAGORN, EDAPHOS, ISLANDR, PHISHES, SOILPROM, and SOILWISE – to discuss how soil data can be better acquired, modelled, and applied in support of soil health monitoring.
During the presentation, the SOILPROM project coordination team emphasised the project’s innovative approaches to emerging contaminants and cross-compartment soil pollution modelling. The discussion also highlighted the need to bridge scientific data with stakeholder needs, especially in the context of operational tools and FAIR data principles.
