1st stakeholder meeting for the Wageningen, Valtermond and Limburg use-cases
On January 26, a first stakeholder meeting was held with Dutch stakeholders, marking a key step in building...
The SOILPROM Project developed a comprehensive Stakeholder Engagement Toolbox that defines tools, methodologies, and protocols to identify, engage, and sustain effective interaction with stakeholders at use-case level throughout the project. The Toolbox was developed collaboratively and validated in a joint workshop with and use-case leaders, ensuring practical guidance adaptable to local contexts.
The project applies a stakeholder-driven approach that actively involves relevant actors from the early stages of each use case. Almost all use cases have held their first stakeholder meetings to identify priorities and expectations. Each use case has recruited 15 stakeholders, representing private organizations (12%), research and education institutions (30%), farmers and NGOs (20%), and public organizations (38%). Questionnaire results indicate that soil health is the primary topic of interest, followed by climate change and mitigation. Stakeholders also highlighted the importance of real-time data collection to support informed decision-making and expressed a clear preference for engagement through interactive, needs-based workshops, ensuring continuous dialogue and co-creation throughout the project lifecycle.
